Georgia Industrial Children's Home offers those interested, many opportunities to volunteer services on behalf of the children in our care. We are always in search of people who are interested in being involved with our children in both direct and indirect ways. Our Volunteer efforts give you the opportunity to reach out and touch the lives of many children in ways of which you might not have dreamed.
For instance, you can become a visiting resource for a child who might not have a home to visit on a holiday. We are always in need of sponsors for children at Christmas. We love to have the community be involved with helping our young people get to the churches of their choice. We try to involve our children in work activities and recreational activities in the community and the help of everyone is welcome in that endeavor. You can teach classes such as music, singing or art classes. Those are just a few examples of ways you might be able too directly affect the children in our care.
You can also change the world of a troubled child in many indirect ways. You can volunteer to run a fundraiser. You can help us with our legislative work on behalf of children. You can talk to friends about our work and get them involved. You can invite our speakers to meet with your Sunday school Class, your civic groups or other friends that might be interested in us. You can donate services such as painting and construction that is a vital part of our commitment to kids. You can organize donations of in-kind gifts.
