At the Georgia Industrial Children's Home, everything we do is in an effort to make the life of a trouble child better. To that goal, we would like to have each of our children linked to an adult in the community who is willing to act as a mentor to a child in our care. Volunteering as a mentor will touch both your child's life and yours.

Our mentors are asked to spend time with our children showing them how life in the community is meaningful, fun, educational and productive. It is our desire for each child to be able to learn from their mentor a bit about the real world, including school, family life and life in the work place.

Our mentors take children with them to work from time to time. They help get our young people to the churches of their choice. Mentors bring kids to dinner, ball games and have them around for holidays when practical.

A mentor is there to help guide and mold our young people for life in the future. This type of work is rewarding for the child and the mentor as well.
